Christmas 2011

Mom's favorite pic of the season. Both girls in their purple Christmas dressed sitting in front of the tree at Grandpa Bubbles' house. Eden very intent on opening her present.

The girls on their new rocking bench from Grandma and Grandpa Bubbles.

Grandma Bubbles reading the book she got the girls to the girls.

Me and Little Miss

And we still had church and dinner at the Mannen's.

Christmas morning at our house.

Eden opening a gift from Santa.

Leah opening a gift.

We had lots of fun this holiday season and visited many friends and family. Christmas day we stayed home except for church service and enjoyed just being a family. There are no pics with Grandpa Mary and Papa Don as Mommy forgot to put the sim card back in the camera after downloading other pictures. Hopefully we get some pics from Grandma.

Holiday Parade and 300th Post

We joined Grandma and Grandpa Bubbles for the annual Longview Holiday Parade. The highlight, besides the candy, was seeing Uncle Brian marching in the band. Leah and Eden both had brand new stocking caps and were excited to use their camping chairs. As you can see it was a cold night so we were all bundled up, coats, sweatshirts, gloves, caps, scarves, and more. Sorry it is blurry, still learning how to use my new camera. This is her new had that we bought for $2 at a local Christmas bazaar earlier that day. A lady named Cricket, who also works at Safeway, knit them.

The best part was picking up the candy. Had to keep an eye out as some candy was not thrown very close to the girls and they thought it okay to run to the middle of the street to pick it up.

Well that concludes my 300th post. See you next time.

Christmas

Here is a great hodgepodge of Christmas photos. We did Christmas with Grandma Mary and Papa Don on the Wednesday before Christmas. Christmas Eve day was spent at Gamma and Gampa Bubbles' house and Christmas Day at Paige's dad's home. The girls had a great time and loved all of their gifts. Also included are a few pictures from the Christmas Party at Eden's preschool that Momma helped out with and a few of our Christmas Memory Making Adventure with Grandma Mary. We went down to Salem to ride the carosel and to sit on Santa's lap.

Birthday Party

May 8th we had a family birthday party for both girls. Gramma and Grandpa Bubbles, Gramma Mary, Papa Don, Uncle Tom, Uncle Brian, Great Grandpa Dean, Mark (Paige's Dad), Nancy (Paige's stepmom), two of Paige's nephews, Julee (friend), John (friend), and Prescott (friend) all attended the fun.
Someone got caught with her hands in the chip bag.
We had it at a local park so that the kids could play and adults could talk. Also, because our house is too small for a get together of that size. We had a potluck lunch, cake, and presents. Leah's big present: a new bike.

Peek a boo presents!Paige even got in on the action since she is graduating this year. And we finished up with a group shot of the gramma's and their girls. Momma had thought ahead and had Leah and Eden create wonderful cards (shaped like purses) with their pictures in them for the grammas and brought them to the party. So we got two birthdays, one graduation and Mother's Day all done at once.

Easter at long last

We had a ton of fun at Easter. Gramma Mary and Papa Don came up for the mEGGa Easter Egg hunt at the fairgrounds. Gramma stated that it was the largest hunt she had ever been to or seen. The girls had a great time. Leah collecting eggs on her own, Eden getting help from Papa Don and Paige watching and snagging a few stray eggs.

Easter Sunday we made it to both Sonrise Service at 6:30am and the regular service at 9:30am. For Sonrise service Leah and Eden were in their nammies, Paige and Momma in regular clothes. All wrapped up in blankets and jackets (service was outside to admire the sunrise). After service church provided quite the breakfast spread.

Later in the afternoon, during Eden's nap, Leah, Paige and Momma set to work decorating eggs. Leah loved it and was excited/surprised as each egg came out of the dye. Paige loved making orange eggs, I think out of the 18 eggs seven of them ended up orange.

We ended the day by having Easter dinner with Paige's family. It was a fun but tiring day.
