Christmas Cooking Making/Baking
We started the cookies last night since the dough has to refrigerate. Everyone helped measure, pour and add. Paige at one point felt they should be cupcakes so she got out the cupcake liners. This morning we worked on rolling the dough and cutting out the cookies. We lost two handfulls of dough and five uncooked cookies to Paige grabbing ( and this was with her outlawed from the kitchen, man she is fast). Leah used her playdough rolling pin to roll out her dough and then had Momma make sure it was thin enough with her rolling pin. Eden watched it all and then headed to Paige's room to cuddle under Paige's blankets. Momma is pretty sure Eden wants a big kid bed. Overall it was a good time with only a few frustrating moments. I enjoyed it more this year than last year given that I wanted to do it and it was not just a way to fill time. Last year we did cookies as an activity because we had been snowed in for so long the natives were quite restless. If you recall they were whole wheat flour sugar cookies ( look in Dec 2008 posts for evidence).
