Where Has The Time Gone?

Tonight Leah heads out for her first sleepover birthday party.  So much independence in such a short time.  It seems like just a few months ago she finally got to move in and be mine.  She needed me for changing her diapers, healing her booboos, and reading her stories.  Now she heads to the neighbors on her own, plays over at friend's houses, and goes to school.  My role has changed so pervasively yet she still needs me.  She still needs me to read the stories, to moderate the disagreements with friends, and provide lovies.  It is amazing the changes that occur so quickly that you can hardly realize until you look back.  She is my princess and my tom boy and I will always love her.
