Beans

We have been busy canning beans too. This is a simple process but does require the pressure cooker which occasionally causes fear in Momma. We have regular green beans, yellow wax beans and some weird flat variety of beans. Leah helped Momma with the yellow wax and flat beans. She was a superior can stuffer and quality control analyst. She caught all the dirty beans, the bad ends that got into the mix, and the ones that were too long. Berry Jane was our custodian and kept the floors free from debri while we canned. The only bad part of this venture was that my new kitchen shears busted (first use). Needless to say they will be returned shortly.A proud Leah with her first four cans of beans. She loved helping Momma and stuffing the beans in until no more would fit. Reward for a job well done, and a tribute to Aunt Lauren and Cousin Desmond.

Miss Leah you didn't wear your new apron when you were helping Mommy put up the beans!
